Bernd Gundermann will exhibit his sketches at Marseille from 14 April to 13 May 2017

The event will focus on the remarkable nature of the first steps of the design process, when dreams, utopias and desires are brought together to form the magical and specific starting point of a project.

Bernd Gundermann uses his sketch book to take us to 2008, when he dreamed of a cloud shaped airport terminal for Auckland, where the passengers crossed indigenous forests to the sound of birdsong under direct daylight shining through a gridded roof: a foretaste of Aotearoa – the country of the long white cloud.
