Listening to the sounds of the Rhône and Saône rivers

Toutes les initiatives

In 2025-26, the Cap sur le Rhône network will develop a project to create podcasts that explore the cultural and natural heritage of the Rhône and Saône rivers, while also examining contemporary issues and uses of these waterways.

These podcasts will be produced through workshops led by professional experts (audio engineers, radio professionals, etc.) for both the general public and school students (high school and middle school).

A selection of the best podcasts, forming a collection, will be broadcast on radio, on suitable online platforms, and on the websites of Cap sur le Rhône and its partner members, as well as through social media, thus offering listeners great flexibility in accessing the content.

With a wide range of possible themes (history, culture, uses, river transport, the environment – river restoration, water resources, climate change, etc.), approaches (fictional, poetic, absurdist, documentary, etc.), and formats (interviews, conversations, narratives, hybrid formats, etc.), the project offers numerous creative possibilities. The project is designed to reach diverse audiences, both in its production and distribution, thus contributing to keeping the culture of the river alive.
