Policy on the use of cookies

When consulting the Site initiativesrivers.org, cookies are deposited on your computer, your mobile or your tablet. Our site is designed to be attentive to the needs and expectations of users. This is why we use cookies in order to be able to produce statistics, for example. This page allows you to better understand how cookies work and how to set them.

Definition of a cookie

The term “cookie” covers the various tracers that are deposited or read on your computer, your tablet or your cell phone, for example when you consult a website, an advertisement, or use a software. The purpose of a cookie is to collect information relating to your navigation. This information can be used for various purposes, in particular: to improve your navigation, to carry out statistics for example to measure the audience of the Internet site on which we navigate, or to propose advertisements adapted to your centers of interest. Cookies are managed by your internet browser.

Categorization of cookies

The different cookies used on the site are grouped into different categories. It is on these categories that you can give your consent.

Functional cookies

  1. Required cookies: necessary cookies help make a website usable by enabling basic functions such as page navigation and access to secure areas of the website. The website cannot function properly without these cookies.
  2. Preference cookies: allow a website to remember information that changes the way the site behaves or displays, such as your preferred language or the region you are in.

These strictly necessary cookies are always active.

The cookies of audience measurement

These cookies allow us to establish statistics on the number of visitors to and use of our site, enabling us to improve our services and content. They are kept for a maximum of 13 months.

In particular, the Google Analytics cookie allows us to monitor the site’s audience (number of users per day, etc.) and to analyze the main behaviors (page views, etc.). In this context, we do not store personal data such as e-mail addresses or your IP address.

The marketing cookies

Marketing cookies are used to track visitors through websites. The goal is to display ads that are relevant and interesting to the individual user and therefore more valuable to third party publishers and advertisers. For example we may use the following Google tools:

  1. Campaign Manager: a web-based ad management system for advertisers and agencies. It allows to manage the delivery of advertising campaigns (banners, videos) on websites and mobile devices.
  2. Search Ads 360: management platform that allows advertisers to efficiently manage some of their sponsored links campaigns (Google and Bing in particular)
  3. Display & Video 360: platform for programmatic purchase of advertising spaces (banners, videos)

Also, we could use Google Ads which is an online advertising program from Google. It allows the purchase of advertisements on the Google search engine (and its partners) as well as on Youtube and the network of publishers using Google Adsense or Google Ad Manager solutions.

If you disable these cookies, you may still receive advertisements from us, but they are less likely to be of interest to you.

Currently, these marketing cookies are not used by IFGR.
