Pilot project to clean up the banks of the Kanyosha River and awareness campaign on selective sorting

Toutes les initiatives

This initiative, led by the Opulance Plus association, aims to restore the banks of the Kanyosha River, which are often used as illegal dumps, leading to pollution, landslide risks, and the spread of malaria. Through an ambitious pilot project, the aim is to raise awareness among local communities, train local teams, install anti-litter measures, and set up a sorting and collection system. The initiative also includes recycling and composting workshops in schools and communities, with a view to educating people about the environment from an early age. The project focuses on social innovation, job creation, biodiversity protection, and improved flood resilience. It aims to strengthen the ties between residents and their river environment, while inspiring other regions to adopt local and sustainable solutions.
