Wildlife of the Rhine basin

Toutes les initiatives

The Terre O Vent association is launching an innovative 270° immersive video project to reveal the hidden treasures of the wetlands in the Rhine basin. These vital ecosystems, located at the heart of the Rhine watershed, play a crucial role in biodiversity, water quality, and climate regulation. The project addresses a strong local need to reconnect communities with their river environment and aims to foster wonder, awareness, and engagement.

Through an innovative educational approach, the accessible 270° film is accompanied by an educational kit distributed to schools, libraries, and local organizations, promoting active participation from residents and young people. This initiative embodies a holistic vision that integrates culture, education, biodiversity, environmental health, and local governance.

This project fosters dialogue among various stakeholders, creating a space for exchange and collaboration around the sustainable management of the river and its tributaries. It contributes to the fight against pollution and climate change by promoting a better understanding of ecosystem services and a culture of water resource conservation.

The transboundary dimension, involving Germany and Switzerland, represents a major development opportunity to replicate the initiative and strengthen cooperation between river basins. With its innovative approach and strong local roots, this initiative has the potential to inspire other regions and inform public policies related to river management.
