IN THE CURRENTS OF THE RIVER, Workshops & writing competitions – 4th edition
Toutes les initiativesThe project “In the currents of the river” is supported by the Cap sur le Rhône network. It consists of writing workshops along the Rhône and on the banks of the Saône for schools and the general public, and a competition – for the general public.
Two evenings are organized: at the opening of the competition with authors invited for readings; at the prize-giving ceremony in the presence of the winners and the president of the jury, with the presentation of a published collection of about forty texts chosen by the juries.
For this 4th edition, the theme is “River and Anthropocene: inherit echoes of the past, invent the stories of the future”.
The generic theme is declined with dedicated pages posted on the website capsurlerhone.fr and distributed in monthly news letters. These pages, written in collaborative frameworks, offer knowledge and thematic avenues to inspire participants: transformation throughout the history of river landscapes, but also nature-based solutions, restoration of coastal plains, adaptation of old techniques (like regenerative hydrology), … How to carry the voices of the Rhône and the Saône, to write on their behalf? What views should be given to the river, its cultural and natural heritage at the time of the Anthropocene? How to rethink the relationships between the Rhône, the Saône and our societies?
