Au Fil de l'Eau: Rivers, a lever for employment!

Toutes les initiatives

Since 1982, Au Fil de l’Eau, an association under the law of 1901, has been working to preserve waterways in the Île-de-France region by reconciling ecology, social inclusion and raising awareness among all audiences. Its approach is based on four fields of action: gentle navigation, with educational cruises and river crossers welcoming nearly 40,000 passengers per year; the preservation of aquatic environments, through the development of riverbanks, the restoration of wetlands and the collection of floating waste; awareness-raising, through environmental education activities aimed at various audiences; and professional integration, thanks to projects that accompany around forty people each year towards sustainable employment. Approved by ESUS, National Youth and Popular Education and environmental protection association, Au Fil de l’Eau carries a systemic vision of rivers as spaces of biodiversity, mobility and social connection. By mobilizing citizens, communities and businesses, the association contributes to making rivers levers of ecological transition and territorial cohesion.
