Rivers without glaciers ?
Many rivers are glacier-dependent. Heads of source, glaciers heat up, melt and die slowly… and with them our rivers.
As Dr. Heïdi Sevestre points out, the glacier contributes 25% of the dry-season flow of the Brahmaputra, irrigating 150 million people. From 2050 onwards, flows will be declining, causing water stress.
The Brahmaputra is not alone. The Indus, the Ganges and the Rhône are also concerned !

It is urgent to act in favor of sobriety and resilience to reduce global warming and to adapt ourselves.
Because the future of glaciers and water depends on the future of our society.
