Toutes les initiatives

As part of the 2022-2024 environmental contract signed with the local water agency and the Ain department, the Reyssouze & affluents river syndicate is carrying out a major morpho-ecological restoration operation on the Reyssouze river, between the Bouvent leisure center and the Pennessuy sluice gates, as well as on the artificial discharge arm known as Canal de Loëze.

This operation involves renaturation work on 10 homogeneous sections, for a total length of 4.4 km. The other operation concerns the ecological and hydraulic restoration of the Dévorah stream, a right-bank tributary of the Reyssouze, on 5 homogeneous sections, for a total length of 1.8 km. Lastly, a 2km section of the canal has been de-gritted. All these operations are located in the commune of Bourg-en-Bresse (01). This project has received technical and financial support from the Agence de l’eau Rhône Méditerranée et Corse and the Département de l’Ain. It is also a winner of the call for projects “Fonds MAIF pour le vivant – Nature 2050”.
