Rémi Camus, the odyssey of the invisible. A device to raise awareness about PFAS in the Rhône
Toutes les initiativesThis project is supported by “Pictura Films”. The initiative Rémi Camus, l’odyssée de l’invisible is a device of awareness and territorial dialogue around the river Rhône, backed by the production of a 52-minute documentary film.
Through the descent of the Rhône autonomously for 800 kilometers by explorer Rémi Camus (September/October 2025), the project highlights contemporary issues related to water quality and the presence of PFAS. Throughout the route, water samples were taken to allow for independent scientific analyses and mapping of the river. The film is a central tool for mediation, making complex scientific issues accessible.
Beyond audiovisual production, the initiative provides for the organization of screenings and debates on the territories crossed, in collaboration with local actors (associations, communities, scientists, committed citizens). It aims to foster dialogue, strengthen the link between populations and the river, as well as encourage a better understanding of contemporary environmental issues.
The project is part of a dynamic of cooperation between exploration, scientific research and citizen mobilization.
