This year the annual UN Climate Change Conference (COP23) will be held in Bonn, from 6 to 17 November. The Fiji Islands will hold the chair, a strong signal since this archipelago is vulnerable to climatic effects.

In 2017, Initiatives for the Future of Great Rivers is joining up with the Biotope Festival and will participate in the association’s main annual event, scheduled from 26 to 28 October 2017, on the theme of water and the major challenges facing humanity.

Every year “The Tam Đảo Days” (JTD), an event which take the form of a summer university, provide training in social science analysis methodologies to nearly a hundred participants from Southeast Asia.

After having spoken on the subject of rivers and health (Camargue, 1 February), a second conference was held on 4 May at Belley, at the initiative of CNR and the Ain Local Energy and Climate Association (ALEC 01), to exchange views on the issue of rivers in energy transition.

The second edition of the ENSAL- IFGR meeting took place at the Maison de la Danse de Lyon on Tuesday 4 April.
