New Mission 1000 Tonnes Burundi !

The result of a meeting between Jimmy Vigneux, co-founder of Mission 1000 Tonnes, and Christophe Ndayizeye, secretary general of Opulence Plus Burundi —both of whom received the 2025 certification for their respective projects aimed at cleaning up aquatic environments in Quebec and Burundi— the new Mission 1000 Tonnes Burundi was launched in early June!

The first official cleanup took place in Bujumbura, where over a ton of wastes was collected! Congratulations to them and to all the volunteers and citizens who came together to make this day a success!

This is a great example of how networking and collaboration through the Living With Rivers community lead to meaningful action. Together, we can make a difference and protect our rivers!
