All eventsThe first National Conferences on Rivers, 3 and 4 October
These two days will bring together all the economic and corporate actors of rivers in France and Europe to broach the vast subject of rivers in all their dimensions (economic, environmental, territorial links, innovation, governance, etc.).
These conferences will provide the occasion to break down the barriers between sectors and build a common vision. They will also allow European actors to speak, thereby enriching debates through sharing experiences. Organised by the professional federation representing French river freight transporters (Entreprises Fluviales de France) with the support of Métropole Rouen Normandie and many partners including CNR.
Programme and accreditation online: Programme – Les Assises Nationales du Fleuve (assisesdufleuve.fr)
Erik Orsenna will speak on Tuesday 3 October during the inaugural conference: “The Imagination of Rivers.”
Sophie Gardette, the director of IFGR, will moderate one of the round tables: “The river as a common good, a resource to be preserved; are the viability and biodiversity of rivers threatened?”
