WORLD: New world conferences on water scheduled for 2026 and 2028

Following on from the last United Nations Water Conference held last March in New York, the United Nations General Assembly voted for the organisation of two new conferences:

• The United Nations Water Conference of 2026 to speed up the implementation of SDG 6, clean water, and drainage.
• The United Nations Water Conference of 2028 to promote the implementation of actions linked to water and take stock of the progress achieved by the International Decade for Action.
