29 June – 7.30 p.m. – LYON: Conference 'It’s getting hot, share water!' organised by the Rhone Mediterranean Corsica Water Agency in the framework of the Festival between Rhone and Saone.

In the presence of:

·        Erik Orsenna, economist, author, President of Initiatives for the Future of Great Rivers (IFGR);

·        Laurent Roy, General Manager of the Rhone Mediterranean Corsica Water Agency;

·        Anne Grosperrin, Vice-President of Greater Lyon, responsible for the water cycle.

Mediated by Denis Cheissoux, journalist, and radio presenter (France Inter), specialised in environmental issues.

Extreme and more frequent heatwaves, alternation of heavy rainfall and flood episodes with increasingly prolonged droughts, etc.

The water cycle is greatly affected by climate change. Although the Rhone provides us with plentiful water and cool areas, it is not inexhaustible. Like other rivers and streams, it too is affected by the question of resource sharing.

Come and listen to the different perceptions of experts on water and rivers, from the global to the local.

Enrolment necessary: Inscrip Simples – ENTRE RHÔNE ET SAÔNE – Conférence ‘Ça chauffe, partageons l’eau !’ (lyon.fr)

Place: Thursday 29 June 2023 at 7.30 p.m. City Hall, 1 Place de la Comédie, 69001 Lyon
