Valérie Cabanes is a lawyer in international law specialising in human rights and humanitarian law. She is strongly involved in the defence of the rights of indigenous peoples and the recognition of the rights of nature and, as such, advises the United Nations initiative “Harmony with Nature”. She co-founded the NGO “Notre affaire à Tous” in France which works for climate justice.
Jean-Louis Chaussade has devoted most of his professional career to the environment and is an internationally recognised expert on water issues. Chairman of the Board of Directors of Suez (May 2019/May 2020), he was since 2004 Chief Executive Officer of Suez, one of the world leaders in water and waste management. He has been involved in promoting the circular economy and protecting the oceans from plastic pollution. He is currently Chairman of JLCH Conseil, Special Advisor to the Accuracy group and member of the IFGR Management Board.
