This Congress will be the first hybrid – face-to-face and virtual – event related to the environment since the beginning of the pandemic, and will allow to act for a nature-based reconstruction, against climate change and for post-2020 biodiversity.

From September 3 to 11, 2021, this Congress will be the first hybrid face-to-face and virtual event related to the environment since the beginning of the pandemic, and will allow to act for a reconstruction based on nature, against climate change and for post-2020 biodiversity.
The program will include workshops and conferences on various topics such as the economy, spirituality, technological innovation, always with a perspective on the preservation of nature and adaptation to climate change.
IFGR will be present on September 7th to present its activities:
Conference: Scaling up implementation of Nature-based Solutions for water
From 11:00 am to 12:30 pm, in room H8-5 Coral Sea, this conference organized by the French Water Partnership will discuss nature-based solutions (NBS), the achievements of this approach as well as the obstacles that still exist.
This session will present examples of Nature-based Solutions implementation in Europe, Burkina Faso, Madagascar, the Congo River Basin and China.
This conference will be attended by the following speakers:

Conference: From research to action: Mobilizing territories to fight against plastic pollution of rivers and oceans
From 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm, on the Great Stage of the Espaces Générations Nature, this conference is dedicated to the Plastic Free River Charter, an initiative of IAGF in partnership with the Tara Ocean Foundation and CNR.
The conference will spotlight the 130 French local authorities – and their partners – who are committed to developing solutions from their territories, while at the same time mobilizing on a national and international level to preserve the health of people, rivers and the ocean.
