One Ocean Summit

A major international conference on the Ocean is being organized at the initiative of the President of the French Republic in Brest from 9 to 11 February 2022. This first One Ocean Summit aims to give a strong political impetus to the European and international agenda of maritime issues and to translate our shared responsibility for the Ocean into concrete actions.

As rivers and the ocean form a single ecosystem, essential to life, Initiatives for the Future of Great Rivers will be represented throughout the Summit by Erik Orsenna, its Chairman, to give a voice to the rivers.

World Impact Summit

2 days of meetings and exchanges around concrete solutions to respond to the climate emergency, 5,000 professionals present, round tables, talks, live shows, workshops and a Solutions Village.

This year, the main issue is the preservation of water and oceans, in support of the sustainable development goals 6 "Clean water and sanitation" and 14 "Aquatic life".

10th international session of IFGR

For this 10th edition of its international meetings, which have been bringing together the members of the IFGR Rivers Committee since 2015, the meeting will be held in Switzerland, at the invitation of the Water Office of Geneva. This year, scientists, academics, political and economic actors and representatives of civil society will meet near the Swiss Rhone and Lake Geneva, around the theme: "River, lake and city: the conditions for a successful alliance".

World Conservation Congress - IUCN

This Congress will be the first hybrid - face-to-face and virtual - event related to the environment since the beginning of the pandemic, and will allow to act for a nature-based reconstruction, against climate change and for post-2020 biodiversity.
