De l'Eau Au Cœur des Sols : developing Soil Conservation Agriculture for better water resource management
Toutes les initiativesThe De l’Eau Au Cœur des Sols project, which is taking place in the Adour Garonne Basin (and more specifically on the Lot river and its catchment areas), is jointly run by APAD and CLACSOL, a farmers’ association for the promotion and development of Soil Conservation Agriculture (SCA) in France and the Lot département respectively.
The aim of the project is to support farmers in their transition to or improvement of SCA through a range of activities, capitalizing on and transferring knowledge, in order to increase the number of farmers practicing this water-saving form of agriculture.
It also aims to set up an experimental platform to understand the impact of the agro-pedoclimatic context and GBA practices on irrigation water management, and thus measure potential water savings for the same production.
