Engaged river walks - Lyon metropolitan area

The Kaypacha association offers eco-citizen hikes, gentle itineraries on foot or by bike, to help local residents make the ecological and solidarity-based transition through a better understanding of the river and the region, and encounters with inspiring initiatives working for tomorrow’s world.

A Kaypacha tour will enable participants to meet 6 or 7 inspiring initiatives led by associations, production facilities, local groups, institutions or businesses. Between 2024 and 2026, Kaypacha will offer a cycle of hikes devoted to environmental and societal issues around the waterways of the Lyon Metropolitan Area. Indeed, waterways are essential itineraries at the crossroads of many issues. The itineraries are organized and structured to encourage participants to question their way of looking at things, and to define their own potential for day-to-day involvement in order to remove the obstacles to taking action.

It’s a collective exploration of the territory, designed as a time for meeting and sharing.
