Through artistic mobility, the aim is to break down the barriers that keep residents of rural and suburban communities away from urban cultural offerings. The Opéra de Lyon has entrusted the work “Le sang du glacier” to three women, on the theme of water.
After its premiere at Lyon’s Théâtre du Point du Jour at the end of 2024, Opéra Itinérant will tour the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in an Opera Truck for 8 weeks, visiting towns in the Metropole de Lyon, the Rhône department, other regional departments and, of course, the priority districts of the City of Lyon and the Metropole. The tour is currently being programmed, and is scheduled to run from January 20 to March 14, 2025. In addition to this tour with the Camion-Opéra, the Opéra de Lyon plans to develop the project by presenting “Le Sang du glacier” in various cultural and/or educational places throughout the Auvergne-Rhône- Alpes region.
